Lady Loves Pajama Sunday

Today is Pajama Sunday. I found a nice pair of PJ pants while cleaning up my studio and decided I will wear them all day. Cleaning/Packing isn't fun and I am sick of it already. I would like to think I have the bulk of my studio packed, but I think that might be more of a dream than reality. This is a little artwork I did the other day. The paper is thick cotton rag which is lovely for ink, but the fineliner doesn't go on that well even though it is a new fineliner.

Pajama Sunday? Come to my house - it is pajama day everyday!! Ha! :)

Oooh, I know exactly what you mean by struggling to draw on the paper. I have some incredible arches paper that I've been hoarding for years that I've finally decided to christen. (It cost me $40 a sheet - I was always too scared to draw on it!). Well I'm trying to draw some girls with crazy wild hair in fineliner. The end result is quite interesting, good, but time consuming. :)

Your work is very interesting, and is so much like your textiles with the same features - bold colour, strong lines, dominant shapes. I'm fascinated by your progress! :)

I just love the handwritten text! It is hard to fine the perfect fineliner.. sometimes I draw left and they draw right, if that makes sense (requires a lot of pen steering). As with Ali J, pyjama day here every day here too... maybe it is just you who only has one pyjama day per week :P

I know what you mean about the perfect fineliner! The one I have is super fine, but it draws like it is running out of ink on the textured papers. Annoying? Yes.

I've been a bit slack with the Pajamas the last few days, we are in the process of shifting, so I'm staying in them for longer. I have some really pretty floral ones with pink and green, I would wear them all the time if I could, but my boyfriend Gareth complains and says I look like a slob!
