To get the ball rolling the best film I've seen recently was last night when I watched Priceless with Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh. My current favourite TV show is The X-Files, we have been watching it on DVD and I think it might have jumped the shark but it is still rather good.

My most recent movie that I watched was "Ratatouille" and was ever so ironic as I watched on my flight back from Paris to Singapore! My favourite television show at the moment is "Brothers & Sisters" - I am completely addicted to it... The amount of drama that can happen within one family is nuts! -Sophie (www.myspace.com/thatvintagebird)

Ok, I'll play!!

We went and saw Indiana Jones this week. Hubby was a fan in the 80's, I didn't care, just enjoyed going out to the movies for a change. It was pretty good, a bit old fashioned in its predictability which is what movies used to be like.
Fav tv show.....hmmmm probably a toss up between House and LOST.

This is so sad... the last time I went to the movies was to see The SImpsons Movie! I did enjoy it though. My favourite tv show at the moment is a toss-up between America's Next Top model and Project Runway (both on here tonight! Yah!)

The best movie I have seen recently is The Lives of Others. Its a bit hard to knit and read subtitles so I probably missed half the plot, but what I saw, I liked.
Favourite TV show? Ladette to Lady. Sad but true. Makes me feel very genteel in comparison!!

Ooo... I've been wanting to watch Priceless! My fave recent movie would definitely be Indiana Jones and Iron Man!! :P Sorry, I couldn't just pick one. And my current fave TV show is Chuck.

I must confess that I love "Law and Order SVU" because I think Elliot is sexy, but the best tv series I have watched in a while was "Rome" (an HBO series we got from Netflix.) There was also a series on AMC channel called "Breaking Bad," which was really good, but may not be something you can find.

I watched No Country for Old Men, which was pretty good, but my old favorites are romantic standbys, like "Spanglish" and "A Knight's Tale." I also laugh really hard anytime I watch "Malibu's Most Wanted" with Jamie Kennedy. Especially if you watch "8 Mile" first!

I went to see 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', it was dreadful. My favourite TV series is Scrubs because it's absolutely hysterical and I could watch reruns all dayyyy ^_^ http://www.myspace.com/__teaandteaspoons

Most recent movie, Bobby (was quite boring ended up crafting and distracted). Favourite television show is 30 Rock (watching on DVD, love a bit of back to back watching). I must admit Ladette to Lady is probably on par, hilarious.

I'm dying to see the new Indiana Jones, so in preparation, the best recent film I have watched is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Love it! My current fave tv show is a toss up between Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares and Charmed.

OK, I haven't seen many films lately (I blame my short attention span) so I would have to say.....Suddenly 30. Current fave tv show....another hard one hmmm....it's a toss up between Project Runway, Property Ladder, and anything with Gordon Ramsay!

CurlyPops said...

And I forgot that I'm addicted to Brothers and Sisters!

The best movie I've seen lately was Serenity (admittedly it was the third time I've watched it, but who's counting), and my favourite tv show would be Angel, although that's just on DVD, so my current favourite tv show is Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Lots of fun!

i think sex and the city (or X and the city as my girl friends refer to it around their kids) is my fave tv show too but i also love E.R.

Jenaveve said...

The best film that I've seen recently would have to be 'The Constant Gardener' (Rachel Weiss and Ralph Fiennes) which I taped yonks ago and finally got around to watching. An incredibly moving and believable story.

As for TV ... I'm going with Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares - but the UK version where he goes to local markets and cute sea-side villages, not the current US series with dodgy restaurants run by gangster types.

Suki said...

OMG! LittleBird has seen "Sex and the CIty" ????? I am so desperate now....

My fav TV is "brothers & sisters" at the moment and shameless to say... big brother....hahah....coz i am usually cooking at that time!
My fav moive at the moment is "Elizabeth the golden age". I have seen lots of crap movei lately...can't think of anything good...

My current favourite TV show is the NHL playoffs, if that counts. Otherwise it's probably House, which is one of my mom's favourites.

2. The Mighty Boosh - VERY silly, Vince is cute! 3. 30 rock - surprisingly good, takes a few episodes to get into it.

Best recent film I saw was Lars and the Real Girl. Hard to pick a favorite TV show... probably Lost.

I just watched Children Of Men recently, and it made me cry. It was so sad and beautiful, and real. TV Shows fall into categories of crap and crappier at the momnent, with the exception of Silent Witness and the Antiques Roadshow :)

I haven't seen many movies recently - the product of having a toddler and trying to start up a business. Did watch Inside Paris which I liked in a muted sort of way.

My favourite TV show is Grand Designs. I may have a slight crush on the host and it got me through those weeks of baby raising when all the days run into one!

Love your stuff by the way. I've been eyeing some things off for a while.

Yet another Indiana Jones fan here... Also loved Something's Gotta Give which hubby put on for me last night on dvd (awww!) LOVE Big Love. Love it!

Movies are a rarity down my way. Im currently (as we speak) watching "Enchanted" on DVD with the kids. Favorite tv show would have to be "Enough Rope" with Andrew Denton....although I must say this year's episodes leave alot to be desired so far!!!

Hayley Sarah said...

The last movie I watched was Resident Evil: Extinction. Not my choice! The partner wanted a crappy film to distract him, and I sat down for a minute and didn't get up again until it finished. I was suprised that it was crappy in a good way.

My favourite TV show at the moment is Scrubs. Hell, we ended up naming our daughter Elliot.. not really after the character, but that was where the idea came from. Funny, cheesy goodness.

Christie said...

Movie...um.... I think I will have to agree with you on Priceless, Audrey is SO sexy (& well dressed) in it & it was funny too...

If DVDs revivals counts, I'm obsessed with "StarGate SG1" right now and I'm reviewing the entire series. On air, though, I laugh myself silly with "The Big Bang Theory". And the last movie I saw that really touched me was "P.S. I love you" with Hillary Swank. But the new Indiana Jones is good fun too.

The best AND most recent film I have seen is "There Will Be Blood." Intense and dark, but a great film. My favorite TV show ... well I have many but I'll say So You Think You Can Dance ... there are much better non-reality TV shows like the Office and 30 Rock and reality shows like The Amazing Race but SYTYCD is the only thing going with new episodes right now in the U.S.!

The most recent movie that I saw was the movie,"I'm not there". It is a non biographical biographical film on Bob Dylan as an artist and human being. Hi!
The best movie I've seen this recently is probably Juno.
I don't know if this counts as a TV show but I'm lately addicted to watching the Tennis French Open. It's funny because last year I couldn't care less about tennis and didn't even know how the scores add up, and now I'm practically obsessed.
Apart from that, I cannot miss a single Friends rerun.
